Warning: This will be a long post. The amount of incredible iron at the Born Free motorcycle show is completely out of control. Whether from the 30 invited builders, assembled around the acres of vendors or simply scattered among the thousands of bikes ridden into the show, there are really too many bikes to see in one day.

Hot flat-track racing at historic Costa Mesa Speedway.
For 49 years go-fast daredevils have been hammering around the 1/10th mile dirt oval at Costa Mesa speedway. This past Thursday the Born Free motorcycle show, now in it’s 9th year, brought it’s brand of chopper nostalgia for a pre-show party under the historic floodlights.

The vintage racers at The Race of Gentlemen at Pismo Beach may have stolen the show.
Last month’s Race of Gentlemen at California’s Pismo beach brought racers together from as far as Japan and the East coast for a weekend of sand skirmishes and head-to-head racing on pre-WWII machinery.
