One of the standout cars at this year’s NorCal Roadster Run is a 1932 Ford highboy hotrod that really deserves a fancy, four-syllable word – quintessential.
From the stance, to the motor and rare parts, to the story behind it, this is the car that hot-rod addicts dream out.
The owner, Rick, has been hot-rodding and collecting early Ford parts for a long time and had already hoarded a great collection of ’32 and flathead treasures. Always on the hunt for any ’32 Ford parts he found out about a retired wood-shop teacher who lived nearby and had a roadster in the garage with paint that hadn’t been touched since the ’50s.
It took some time and convincing but Rick finally became the new care-taker.
I think he’ll be enjoying personalizing this roadster as much as driving it for the foreseeable future.
